This wood comes from Guyana.

Nuanced  brown and black colors reminiscent of the skin of snakes. The snake wood or mimosa wood has the particularity to be very dense. People can make not only ​​knife handles but also violin bows with this wood. Because of its solidity  it was even used to make letters for printing.
